The Opportunity

Looking for a role where you can lead operations at a high-profile marine site, keep things running smoothly from ship to shore, and shape the future of a key supply hub? This is your chance to take the helm at Shoreham Wharf as a Wharf Manager. Shoreham is a critical link in our supply chain, where high-quality sand and gravel meet innovation, efficiency, and top-tier customer service.

As our Wharf Manager, you’ll have full responsibility for the safe, efficient, and profitable running of the site, overseeing everything from vessel planning to material processing, while ensuring we meet (and exceed) our safety, environmental, and quality standards. You’ll lead a small but agile team, keep operations flowing, and be the go-to person for customers, contractors, and colleagues alike.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acting as HSEQ Coordinator, making safety your number one priority.

• Managing budgets, forecasting, and financial performance for the site.

• Coordinating vessel arrivals and material availability.

• Working with sales and logistics teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

• Overseeing planned preventative maintenance to keep equipment in top condition.

• Driving continual improvement in site safety, quality, and operational performance.

• Recruiting, training, and developing staff to ensure competency across the team.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and organise a team.

• Knowledge of sand and gravel processing and heavy mobile equipment.

• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Experience in planning, prioritising, and delivering results under pressure.

• Self-motivation, initiative, and a pragmatic problem-solving mindset.
