The Opportunity

We’re looking for an operational leader to take responsibility for our Ready-Mix operations across the Midlands region. As the Head of Operations, you'll oversee multiple Ready-Mix Concrete sites playing a pivotal role in shaping operational excellence and replicating best practice across the region to help strengthen our capability.

Reporting to the Regional Director, this is a highly influential leadership role where you’ll build on strong regional performance and help create greater consistency, efficiency and safety standards across operations. You’ll lead a team of Operations Managers and wider site teams, ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery while embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing operational performance across multiple sites, ensuring reliability, cost control, and delivery against budget and strategic targets

• Leading, developing, and supporting a team of Operations Managers, building capability and strengthening succession plans across the region

• Embedding a strong Health, Safety and Environmental culture through visible, on-site leadership and consistent standards

• Driving continuous improvement in plant performance, productivity and operational efficiency, using data and insight to identify opportunities

• Overseeing asset performance, maintenance planning and capital investment to support long-term operational effectiveness

Who you are

• You’re an operational leader, with a background in manufacturing or heavy industry.

• You have a strong understanding of plant-based operations and enjoy working closely with site teams to identify and deliver improvements

• You’re commercially aware, with experience managing P&L performance, costs and operational KPIs

• You’re a collaborative and visible leader who develops people, builds capability and creates a culture of accountability

• You take a practical, solutions-focused approach and are comfortable working across multiple locations, planning your time effectively
