The Opportunity

Are you an experienced professional looking to take your career to the next level in a pivotal operational role? Do you enjoy overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficiency in a fast-paced environment? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join our team as a Weighbridge Supervisor at our Newbold Quarry in Burton. You will be covering our other quarries as well in Midlands if required

The primary role of the Weighbridge Supervisor is to oversee the weighbridge operation with accountability for the dispatch of products and associated paperwork. This will include managing the yard stocks and operations including managing the yard operatives. The role will also include, but is not limited to, administrative duties,
raising and managing purchase orders, controlling raw material orders, investigating variances, undertaking month end duties and general administrative tasks. We start at 6:45AM till 5:00PM

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the weighbridge, ensuring accurate measurement and recording of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of weighbridge operators, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately logged and recorded in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and troubleshoot weighbridge equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition at all times.
• Be aware of professional responsibility towards health and safety, use of PPE, reporting accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Collaborate with logistics, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

Who You Are

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a similar environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Proficient in using weighbridge software and other related technologies.
• Commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace.
• Computer literate with a strong hold on MS office and E1 is a plus.
• A valid UK driving license is must.
