The Opportunity

Fancy a role where you can get hands-on with maintenance as a Mechanical Fitter. At Holcim’s Westleigh Quarry, you’ll do exactly that. As part of a small, friendly, and supportive team, you’ll play a vital role in keeping production moving and machinery in top condition.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, and repairs on site equipment.

• Responding quickly to breakdowns and following up with permanent solutions.

• Supporting safe systems of work, inspections, and accurate reporting via our maintenance systems.

• Operating mobile plant as needed, including Loading Shovels and Dump Trucks.

• Maintaining tidy, safe working areas and assisting in keeping production on track.

What You’ll Bring

• A positive, flexible, and team-focused mindset.

• Mechanical maintenance experience, ideally with a technical qualification (NVQ3 or equivalent).

• A strong focus on health and safety.

• Organisational skills and IT literacy.

• The willingness to learn and operate a range of plant machinery.
