The Opportunity
As a Preventative Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for coordinating maintenance planning activities that keep our site operating at peak performance, you'll work monday to friday 06:00 until 16:00. You’ll work closely with engineering supervisors, technicians and operational teams to ensure maintenance work is planned effectively, resources are coordinated and downtime is minimised.
This is a highly organised and detail-focused role that sits at the heart of the engineering function, supporting proactive maintenance strategies, planning major shutdowns and helping to drive improvements in asset reliability and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Coordinating and managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across fixed, semi-mobile and mobile assets
Planning and balancing engineering workloads to ensure effective delivery of maintenance activities
Creating, managing and issuing work orders to engineering supervisors and maintenance teams
Maintaining and updating the Engineering and Maintenance Plan for the site
Coordinating manpower, shift cover and overtime requirements in line with the maintenance schedule
Supporting the coordination of spares, parts and equipment required for maintenance activities
Responding to plant breakdowns and supporting teams to ensure assets are returned to production quickly
Leading the planning and coordination of major shutdowns and maintenance outages
Screening and managing maintenance notifications and defect reports
Supporting root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities with engineering teams
Issuing and receiving Permits to Work within engineering areas of responsibility
Contributing to the development of safe working methods and safety documentation for maintenance activities
Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings and site induction training where required
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability and maintenance efficiency
What You’ll Bring
Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling or engineering coordination within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
Good knowledge of engineering maintenance practices and preventative maintenance principles
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and operational teams
High attention to detail and strong administrative capability
Good IT skills and experience working with maintenance or operational management systems
Desirable:
Experience within quarrying, aggregates, manufacturing or heavy industry
Knowledge of engineering asset management systems or maintenance planning software
Understanding of health, safety and environmental standards within industrial environments
