The Opportunity
Are you looking for a role where supplier engagement, performance insight, and logistics compliance come together?
We’re recruiting a Logistics Category Specialist to join Holcim UK in a regional role supporting our outsourced logistics network across the South East.
This isn’t a planning role. Instead, you’ll work closely with a wide network of hauliers and 3PL partners, acting as a key link between suppliers and the wider logistics and category team.
You’ll play a critical role in monitoring supplier performance, supporting commercial decisions, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are consistently met across the network.
What You'll Be Doing
Acting as a key point of contact for regional hauliers and logistics suppliers, supporting day-to-day queries and relationship management
Carrying out supplier audits, vehicle inspections, and site visits to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Monitoring telematics and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Providing insight to support rate discussions, supplier selection, and regional capacity planning
Producing supplier scorecards, dashboards, and performance reporting to inform decision-making
Working closely with operations and procurement to ensure alignment between supplier performance, cost, and service delivery
Who you are
You have experience working with logistics suppliers, hauliers, or 3PL providers, rather than purely internal planning or scheduling.
You understand transport compliance, safety standards, and supplier performance management.
You enjoy building relationships with external partners and acting as a trusted point of contact.
You are comfortable working with data to track performance, identify issues, and support improvements.
You’re organised and proactive, able to manage multiple suppliers and priorities across a regional network.
We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
