The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Able Body Seaman to join our team working on a Dredger Vessel on a rotational 3 weeks on 3 weeks off shift pattern.

Primary Role: To work in a safe and efficient manner, as directed by Master, Chief Mate and Chief Engineer. To carry out maintenance and ship husbandry routines laid out in the maintenance schedules provide navigational watch keeping routines when required by the Master and Chief Mate. You will be responsible for compliance with company standing orders as delegated by the Master. You will provide Emergency Response duties as detailed in the ships Muster List

Secondary Role: The AB Seaman is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the mooring operations on arrivals and departures, and any maintenance of the ship, as directed by the Master.

Responsibility-

• You will be responsible for compliance with company standing orders as delegated by the Master.

• You will provide Emergency Response duties as detailed in the ships Muster List.

• To work on deck in a safe and efficient manner, as directed by Master.

• Provide navigational watch keeping routines when required by the Master (only for Navigational watch ratings or Able Seaman certificate holders)

• Responsible for compliance with company regulations and to provide Emergency Response duties as detailed in the ship’s Muster List.

• The ability to work professionally in the shipboard environment, maintaining high standards of husbandry and health and safety.

• Self-motivated and strives towards continuous improvement.

Who you are (requirements)

• STCW95 certification in line with coding/class conventions (e.g. medical, survival, first aid, fire fighting etc.).

• A working knowledge of MARPOL and general safety on board the vessel.

• Self-motivated and creative within the galley, presenting a wide variety of meals, and striving towards continuous improvement.

• Company HSE Procedures/processes

• STWC and other relevant certification to be revalidated in accordance with the specific certificate requirements
