The Opportunity
Holcim UK is seeking an IMS Audit Manager to lead our Integrated Management System (IMS) team and play a pivotal role in driving compliance, consistency, and excellence across the business. Reporting into the Head of Risk and Assurance, you’ll ensure our IMS remains fit for purpose, supporting certification to international standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001, and BES6001.
This is a high-profile opportunity to shape how we manage quality, environment, health & safety, and energy standards across the organisation. You’ll also represent Holcim UK with external certification bodies and senior leaders, making a lasting impact on both compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the IMS team, ensuring training, competence, and development needs are met.
Oversee and develop the IMS, acting as the gatekeeper for compliance with ISO standards and Holcim requirements.
Chair the Management Systems Steering Group to align H&S, Environmental, Energy, and Quality standards across the business.
Maintain and monitor the IMS Library, including standards, procedures, and documentation.
Build strong relationships with external certification bodies, managing audits, feedback, and requirements.
Provide expert guidance to senior management, supporting implementation of IMS and sharing best practice.
Deliver audit schedules, conduct audits across sites and functions, issue reports, and track non-conformance trends.
Create and maintain audit templates, checklists, and reporting tools to ensure effective monitoring and improvement.
Represent the IMS team at key business meetings and support continual development of integrated standards.
Who You Are
You’re a confident leader and expert in management systems who thrives on driving compliance and continuous improvement. Your ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, alongside your technical knowledge, makes you a trusted advisor across the business.
Qualification: Lead Auditor qualification is essential. Additional certifications such as IEMA/IOSHH are desirable.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001) and BES6001, with knowledge of ISO44001 & PAS2080 an advantage.
Experience: Proven auditing skills with experience in managing integrated systems and liaising with certification bodies.
Skills: Excellent report writing, communication, time management, and IT skills (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, EHS audit management & reporting systems.).
Behaviour: Proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of influencing change across multiple stakeholders.
Other: Full driving licence required.
