The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team on the HS2 project – one of the most ambitious and high-profile infrastructure developments in the UK. This is your chance to play a key role in ensuring our commercial success on a project that’s shaping the country’s future.
In this role, you’ll be the commercial face of our HS2 delivery, acting as the primary link between Holcim UK, our customers, and subcontractors. You’ll manage agreements, ensure accurate invoicing, resolve queries, and keep a close eye on project KPIs. Your work will directly influence our ability to deliver efficiently, profitably, and with the highest standards of commercial compliance.
What you’ll be doing
Leading all commercial interactions with our customers and subcontractors
Managing agreements, invoicing, credits, and payment queries to keep cash flow healthy
Producing timely cost and value reports to track contract performance
Reviewing deliveries weekly to ensure accurate billing and payments
Negotiating sundry charges and fixed cost submissions
Drafting and sending commercial letters, early warnings, and compensation events
Gathering evidence for claims and drafting formal responses to customer complaints
Providing commercial advice to the project team on contractual and compliance matters
Tracking and reporting KPIs, ensuring we’re always ahead of the curve
