The Opportunity

Join Holcim UK as a General Operative, where you’ll be a vital part of our operations, ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality concrete and aggregate products. This role is perfect for a motivated individual looking to develop their skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. With a focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact at a leading company in the construction materials industry. You'll be expected to do some of the following: 

• Operate mobile plant equipment, including Loading Shovels and 360 excavator's safely and efficiently.
• Manage the operation of Mobile processing equipment, ensuring products meet quality standards.
• Perform daily safety checks and plant inspections, promptly reporting any issues to management.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment by adhering to high housekeeping standards.
• React to and assist with site breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Who You Are

You’re a driven and enthusiastic General Operative with a strong focus on safety and quality. You thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment and are ready to contribute to a high-performing team. Here’s what makes you a great fit:

• Previous experience in a similar industry, with a good understanding of plant operations and maintenance.
