The Opportunity
We now have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our regional engineering team, offering maintenance support to multiple sites in the area. You’ll be part of our team of engineers covering Ready-mix & Asphalt sites as well as two Quarries across the Central Belt region.
With the support of experienced engineers, you’ll learn and develop your existing skills to become an expert in our industrial environment. There is a real variety of environments, projects and faults to work with, so you’ll (subject to your experience) spend your initial six months in the “passenger” seat, buddied up with one of our other engineers build your knowledge of this sector.
Covering Monday-Friday days you’ll attend breakdowns and scheduled work across the Central Belt region. Our base of operations for the area is at Duntiland, near Shotts. So, you’ll need to be commutable to our site here.
Who you are
You’ll have experience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment. Looking to upskill and learn welding/ fabrication techniques to boost your existing Fitting knowledge.
Safety is a big part of our culture, so you’ll ideally have experience with Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
With this being a multi-site position, you’ll also need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
